VICTORY HAIR - I HAS IT

What IS Victory Hair, you may be asking yourself?

Let me enlighten you.  It's when you decide, that today, you're going to do something else besides just wear your hair in a bun.  It's when you decide that today, people are going to notice you and realize that you have damn sexy hair. It's when you kick in your Extreme Style by VO5.

For instance, just this past weekend, I decided that my hair needed attention.  I visited the hairdresser, winced as she yelled at me for ignoring it all this time, let her give it the super special conditioning treatments and all that other stuff, and so forth.

And then the next day, I pulled out the bright red top that 'accentuates the positives,' if you know what I mean, and I think you do.  I fluffed out the shiny black curls, I put in a sparkly diamond hairpin in the front left side for no particular reason (unless you count the fact that most people see that side first when approaching).  And then I went Out.

I must confess, I don't normally go Out.  I usually just stay in, I'm very boring that way and also - I got in my lifetime supply of alcohol while in college.  I'm overeducated, and I consider most bar people to be stupid and boring.  That's why I went to a museum.  What's that, you say?  No one goes there?  That's where you are wrong!  Artisty types go there.  They research.  They stare at paintings of long dead women and sketch stuff, and usually don't expect to have someone come up while they are working and say, "I like how you've captured the essence of the original work!  But surely you could have included more detail?"  Or something to that effect.  And no one ever expects a spritely, short, full bodied woman in a bright red top and bouncy black curls to come up and discuss Titian in a knowledgeable fashion.  That just throws them off so bad!  They get a little scared mousey look, it's adorable!  Of course, if you don't know the works of ancient masters, I suggest you instead go up and ask them what they are doing.  Admire their work.  Ask them about their training.  I fall back on that when I've run out of startling observations to make.  All the while, bouncy shiny hair accentuates every nod, the sparkly hairpin keeps their eyes up (as does the bright red top) and before you know it, we are sitting down chatting in the museum restaurant.

That, my friends, is Victory Hair.
