SocialSpark currently has an opportunity available to blog about the reliability and amazing customer service that you get with Microsoft Vista!
I nearly peed in my pants laughing.
Trust me, you will never EVER see that sponsored post here. I don't care how much the bonus is. I read some of the post titles - obviously written by mindless dweebs who probably don't even have Vista. They have titles like "windows xp, windows vista - vista is the best!" NO IT'S NOT. Vista is a pile of steaming garbage with a pretty GUI. Vista is almost as shameful a release as Windows Me. At least in Vista you can convince it you're an administrator if you try long enough.
"Move to Windows Vista with Confidence" - yeah, confidence that if you ever need to do any high level administrative work on your own machine, you will want to rip it off and reinstall Windows XP inside of a month. Confidence that if you don't have a brand new, top of the line computer that was specifically BUILT FOR VISTA - not just Vista Compatible - that you will want to kill the system because it is so slow. Also, confidence that no matter what they tell you, an upgrade WILL NOT WORK. Just save yourself the hours of pain later and do a complete new install. TRUST ME.
I still have four corporate keys for XP. I hoard them like the gold they are. And sadly, I still have Vista on my main computer at home because I get paid to understand all the stupid quirky shit that computers do, so I need to be familiar with the system before we get our software up and running on it. It's gonna suck, that's all I know.
And as it happens, I have had to deal with the Customer Assurance team being touted in the SocialSpark opp - and you know what? They were just as useless as the same old Windows XP team. What a load of garbage. They might be better if their job wasn't to support a steaming pile of crap.
